He proved them wrong and led the islands and their fierce people to remarkable success. Early in 1279 his health began to fail. Poison was suspected but unproven, and in Blossombud of that year his queen, Ashoken, took him aboard the Glorakela'ilani, which was built and named in honor of the ship sunk by the Mer in 1274, and together with a select few sailed away...

He is a cynical and domineering sort who believes he has the answers almost as much as he actually does. This only serves his confidence and by turns his fearless and fearsome nature. Although an elected official, he tends to bully the other clan chiefs into following his lead, a tactic which helped forge close alliances with the Elves and which, with a lot less difficulty, helped shatter those alliances to dust with the rise of the Klockwork Master. Shaldolf-Sundew, Chajar MISSING and presumed dead. The adopted son of Tequin Shaldolf-Sundew, Chajar grew up in the shadow of greatness. It is no wonder he achieved so much. Made Weaponsmaster and bodyguard to the Emperor himself, Chajar's fighting skills were matched by none. His sword, Reannan'se'ar, is a soniarium blade of the rarest quality, and Chajar's wielding of it in the Demon War is still the stuff of legend. Chajar has few flaws - though one might be his love for the Emperor's sister, Aslin Dreven. Many speculate that it was because of her matrimony to Girard Khersones that the elven warrior left Tumian Dreven's side as his Weaponsmaster.
